Derived from Hawaiian language, the title means sacred or holy light, evoking the luminous energy at the heart of this piece of Kekaha which is a small town of the West side of Kauai, a part of the Hawaiian chain of islands.
Layered with vibrant washes of pink, yellow, and coral, the flowers are set against a serene softly clouded sky-blue background that enhances their glowing, almost ethereal quality.
