TITLE: "Sanctuary"

Art Inspiration story: This is a large original watercolor painting of a Humpback Whale just off the little town of Lahaina, Maui Hawaii coast. The bright sun is glistening on the massive tale of this humpback whale as it glides back into the warm tropical ocean waters of it's vacation home in Hawaii.

It was at the age of fifteen on a family vacation to Maui, Hawaii I decided I wanted to be a professional artist.  I was very excited to visit Front St. in down town Lahaina ~famous for it's row of fine art gallery's. I got to meet a couple of the artistis in their galleries and see the original art up close! Creating art and sharing the ability to help create beatiful and inspirational spaces for others~ is a fun and fulfilling career.

I painted "Sanctuary" in 2016 as homage to the little Maui town that inspired my artist dreams. I had hoped that I could some day have a gallery there and Lahaina would be a part of my life story. I moved to Kauai, Hawaii in 2024.

In 2023 Lahaina had a tragic wild fire burn almost the intire town. My prayers and heart goes out to everyone that it affected. Lahaina will never be the same but pray it can recover to a healthy and resilient Hawaii town and community. <3 

MEDIUM: Original Watercolor painting with genuine Daniel Smith gemstone paint used in the blue of the ocean water. Water surface painted with Daniel Smith semi-precious stone watercolor paint. They are semi-precious ground stones which makes unbelievable beautiful colors!
