"Sweet Welcome" is a wearable print of my original mixed media -silver ink and watercolor painting.

The tradition of using the pineapple as a symbol of welcome, often appearing on gateposts, pillars, and in architecture, primarily flourished during the

18th and 19th centuries in America and Europe. Originating from Caribbean, 17th-century sea captain traditions, the symbol signified hospitality, as rare pineapples were placed outside homes to invite visitors.

Lightweight and versatile, it can be styled at the neck, in the hair, or tied to a bag for a pop of art wherever you go.

SIZE OPTIONS:

Oblong Scarf — 10" × 45" (skinny scarf)

A versatile “skinny scarf” that’s easy to style a bunch of ways—tie it in your hair, wrap it on a ponytail, wear it as a neck ribbon, or knot it on a bag strap for a pop of art. Light, packable, and perfect for everyday wear.

Oblong Scarf — 16" × 72" (classic long scarf)

A classic long scarf with beautiful drape—wear it wrapped once or twice at the neck, styled as a shawl-like layer, or tied loose for an elegant statement. The larger size shows off the artwork with more impact and styling options.

FABRIC OPTIONS:

Polyester scarf fabrics:

Polychiffon (poly chiffon):     Light, airy, and semi-sheer with excellent print show-through. Smooth hand-feel with a subtle, low sheen, which helps artwork look clean and crisp—great when you want color visible on both sides without going full silk.

Satin Charmeuse (poly):        A silky-looking polyester with a shiny face and matte reverse. Lighter than polychiffon with less show-through, but still prints cleanly. Best if you want an affordable “silk-like shine.”

Matte Crepe (poly):                 The lightest polyester scarf option—soft, very drapey, and comfortable. Has a low luster (less shine than charmeuse) and moderate show-through, while keeping prints sharp and clear.

Silk scarf fabrics:

Silk Habotai:         The lightest silk option with a floaty, elegant drape and high show-through. It has a moderate sheen on both sidesand can give art a slightly softened look (because it’s so lightweight).

Silk Charmeuse:   A step up in weight from habotai while still draping beautifully. Feels luxurious and “liquid” against the skin, with a shiny front and matte back—a classic high-end scarf vibe.

Silk Modal (silk + modal blend):   A unique blend that pairs modal softness + durability with silk’s sheen and drape. Great if you want a silk feel with a more budget-friendly price point.

“Silk scarves are printed using a reactive process, while polyester scarves use dye sublimation—both are designed for permanent, vibrant color.”
